Breaking News: All good things must come to an end!

After nearly 20 years I have decided to retire and will therefore be winding down Perfect-Pilots. I won't be making new ones, nor will I add to the range in any way. I do have a small number of pilots in stock - these were used for demonstrations and shows - and I'll be selling these.

I have a large number of moulds and parts of pilots - bodies, arms, legs, heads, hands, feet etc. and I'd be happy to explore selling these if anyone would like to take over Perfect-Pilots. If this happens I'll also include the two web domains (perfect-pilots.com and perfect-pilots.co.uk) and I'd be very happy to share all my techniques, materials etc. Please contact me if you'd like to explore this.

  A new range of 1/4 and 1/3 goggles
  These will be available as painted units or kits, ready for painting and finishing. We hope to have them ready for the LMA Gaydon show in late October!

  1/4 scale full body fully articulated 1950's jet pilot
  This is a bespoke build for a 1/4 scale de Havilland Vampire and will have helmet (bone dome), visor and oxygen mask amongst other scale details.

  1/5 scale full body pilot
  Based on M1501, this fully moulded pilot should be suitable for 1/5 scale WWII and later models. Hopefully will be ready for Gaydon.

• LMA Gaydon Event
  Static Show 27 October 2013
  We are pleased to announce that we will once again attend the LMA Gaydon static event and will bring some examples of our range. Please let us know if there is anything specific you'd like us to bring along. Save postage by ordering your pilot for delivery at the show!

  We are pleased to announce that online ordering and payment is now possible from our website. Due to the number of variations for the bespoke pilots, this is only available for the basic items with limited variations at present (e.g. harnesses and fully-moulded pilots). We use PayPal for the payments.

  We have extended the range of harnesses to include 1/4 scale modern general aviation and late WWII (British QS style)
  harnesses in addition to the 1/3 scale versions we have offered for a while.

  1/3 scale civilian pilot
  Have finished development of and am now shipping a 1/3 scale civilian pilot for a 1/3 scale de Havilland DH-85 Leopard Moth. He will be smartly dressed in 1930s style trousers, shirt and tie!
